We strive to display as accurately as possible the colors of our products that appear on the website. However the actual color will depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colors will be accurate.

In addition, different from other fabrics, silk is a highly lustrous fiber.
The shimmering appearance of silk is due to the triangular prism-like structure of the silk fiber, which allows silk cloth to refract incoming light at different angles, thus producing different colors. These make the surface shine and appear to change color as the angle of light on it changes. Put your silk product up to the light and see how it reflects differently to other silk products. So the color of the actual product you receive may look different under a different light.

What is Momme in silk fabric ?Mommes (mm), is a unit traditionally used to measure the quality of silk fabrics. One momme = 4.340 grams per square meter; 8 mommes is approximately 1 ounce per square yard or 35 grams per square meter.

The usual range of momme weight for different weaves of silk are:

Gauze—3 to 5 mm Organza-4 to 6 mm Habotai—12 to 16 mm Crepe de Chine-12 to 16 mm Charmeuse-12 to 30 mmChiffon-6 to 8 mm (can be made in double thickness,i.e 12 to 16 mm) Raw silk-35 to 40 mm (heavier silk appear more "wooly")The higher the momme weight the better?Momme(mm)=Density19mm=19lbs 100 yards of silk
The Density of silk measured by momme. The density of the threads in the 25 momme variety of silk is also significantly higher than that of the 22 momme or 19 momme. Our 25 momme silk pillowcase boast of a thread count of 750, while our 22Momme silk pillowcase has a thread count of 600+ and 19mm silk pillowcase, has a thread count of only 400. More threads = more durable and expensive.

Yes and no. It depends. Normally, the higher the momme weight, the more durable the weave, the more luxurious the fabric is, the more suitable it is for heavy-duty use, and the longer the shelf-life. Generally, all silks can be washed and the heavier ones can be washed repeatedly. The heavier the silk, the more opaque it becomes. This can vary even between the same kind of silk. For example, lightweight Charmeuse is translucent when used in clothing, but 30-momme charmeuse is opaque. Therefore, it does not mean that you must always buy silk products with higher momme weight. For instance, it would be too heavy to put on 25mm silk sleepwear for the night, but 19mm silk sleepwear is not that durable, though. In a word, it is a question of making proper choices according to your own needs. What is the best momme weight of silk bedding?

For bedding, the higher the weight in momme, the better the silk bedding is. Sheets between 19-25 momme are considered ideal. silk with momme weights lower than 19 is not suitable for the production of quality silk bedding linen. Beware of sellers trying to trick you into buying inferior quality sheets without declaring the momme weight. Always ask for this measurement before you purchase the silk bedding. Here at Lilysilk, we offer 3 different momme weight classes. Starting from the entry-level 19 momme, Lilysilk also offers intermediate 22 momme and luxury 25 momme weight classes for your choosing.

What is thread count?Thread count or threads per inch (TPI) is a measure of the coarseness or fineness of certain fabrics, most notably cotton. While it is not the definitive measurement of the quality of silk fabrics, it is good for reference when you purchase silk online. It is measured by counting the number of threads contained in one square inch of fabric or one square centimeter, including both the length (warp) and width (weft) threads. The thread count is the number of threads counted along two sides (up and across) of the square inch, added together.

What are the thread counts of DISANGNI’s bedding sets?Thread-count is not as important in silk products as it is for cotton, as in silk threads can vary greatly in terms of diameter and length. However, it is still something that should be noted when purchasing silk. For silk products with the same momme weight, the one with higher thread count is usually considered to be better. Normally, the 19mm silk has a thread count of 300-350, Lilysilk’s 19mm silk usually has a minimum thread-count of 400 which is already what some would refer to as “luxury”, our 22mm has a thread-count of 600 and our 25mm silk an even higher 750 which is why we insist that our products are truly the best on the market.

1. Put your arms through the straps.
2. Clasp the bra in the back.
3. Clasp your bra in the front or side.
4. Choose your tightness setting.
5. Bend down to help move your breasts into the cups.
6. Fill the cups with all of your breast tissue.
7. Repeat the same process with your other hand and another breast.

1. Stand in front of a mirror with a tape measure. Be sure to wear a bra that fits you well.
2. Pull the tape measure around your chest, just below your underarms. You want the tape measure to be firm against your body, but not squeezing you. This measurement is your band size. If you get an odd number, round up.
3. Now measure loosely around the fullest part of your bustline.
4. Your band measurement subtracted from your bust measurement will give you your cup size. Just find the right number on this bra size chart.

Silk, as one of the natural fibres, is very friendly to the skin. It helps to decrease the skin's loss of moisture and is better tolerated than other fabrics by people with sensitive skin.

Correct care will help your silk fitted sheet last for years. The part which rubs against your heels will pill easily because foots' skin is rougher after every-day walking. We advise you to cover that part with a towel to prevent the pilling issue.

1. Look for fabric stuck in the zipper. Sometimes, zippers may stop working because a bit of the surrounding fabric gets caught in the teeth. Inspect the garment or accessory closely for snags, folds, tangles and other signs of a hangup. These tend to be fairly easy to correct.
Snags are usually to blame when a zipper completely refuses to budge.
If there are no visible obstructions in the zipper teeth, you may need to try lubricating the teeth instead.
2. Pull the fabric away from the zipper. Once you’ve located the snag responsible for blocking the zipper, take hold of the fabric around the obstruction and give it a gentle tug. If the snag is especially small, using a pair of tweezers may help you get a better grip. Pull the fabric in the direction opposite the way the zipper runs and hold it.
You can also try dislodging the fabric from inside the teeth with the point of a safety pin.
Be careful not to wrench on the fabric too hard, or you may tear it.
3. Work the zipper up and down. Keeping your hold on the snagged fabric, begin gently pulling the zipper tab. Try sliding it in both directions to see if the fabric releases. In most cases, constant tension, small movements and a little patience will be enough to clear the zipper teeth.
If you don’t have any luck freeing the fabric from the zipper, your only option will be to take it to a tailor.
4. Prevent further obstructions. After successfully dealing with a troublesome zipper, take a few precautionary steps to make sure the problem doesn’t happen again. Stitch up ragged holes, smooth out wrinkles and use a razor to cut away loose threads. When you’re done, iron the fabric on both sides of the zipper to make sure it lays flat.
The less fabric there is in the way of the teeth, the less likely another snag is to occur.
Keep an eye out for frayed edges around the zipper tape itself.

There are 2 packaging options for you to choose from regular packaging or gift packaging.

I. If you want it in regular packaging, you do not need to do anything. Regular packaging is free of charge and once your order goes through our website, it will be shipped in regular packaging.

II. If you want gift packaging for your order, you need to tick the choice “Gift Box With Ribbon” when you proceed to check out (you will be charged for gift packaging). Also, you can leave your gift message to the recipient. Here is an example.

You should choose the duvet cover with the hidden zipper placed at the edge/back of the cover.  There are 3 advantages to using hidden zippers on duvet covers:
1. A regular zipper(not hidden)placed on the surface/edge of the duvet cover can break or weaken the sense of luxury of the cover.
2. Hidden zippers are covered with a layer of silk which makes it less likely to cause abrasions on your skin.
3. The cover that protects your skin also protects the zipper from breaking, granting longer-lifespan to the zipper and less trouble for you.

Although 19mm and 22mm silk pajamas have a lot of in common as they both belong to silk product, there are some evident differences you should know.
- Wear & Tear resistance: 19 momme silk is considered to be the entry level of high-end silk and is fairly resistant to wear and tear. However, unlike bedding products, pajamas and other nightwear are subject to much more useful (and washes), and as such, we find that the old 19 momme silk simply was not able to satisfy our original intention for it to last up to 10 years, while the 22 momme line is easily capable of doing so.
- Durability: Similar to the point above, but slightly different. While wear and tear resistance is definitely part of the overall durability criteria, the durability, in this case, refers to the fabric's ability to withstand casual or accidental mistreatment that happens on a fairly frequent basis. It is not rare for our products to be mistakenly thrown into the wrong washing cycle, washed with the wrong materials/detergents, dried with a drying machine for hours on end, etc., and a lot of the times the owners don't really realize that they might have used the wrong method. 19 momme silk is considerably weaker in its ability to deal with these occurrences when compared with its 22 momme counterparts.
- Fabrics Aging: Silk fabrics age over time and become dull, and there are a number of factors that help determine the speed at which this aging process happens. Some of the most notable factors include washing frequency, water quality, amount of usage, and one factor that is often overlooked is fabric density. Lower quality silk such as the one used in women's lingerie can easily become dull after a few washes, whereas 19 momme silk generally starts to lose its original shiny exterior after 5-6 months of usage. 22 momme silk, however, can last up to 2 years before you start to notice that it has started to dull.

Silk cocoons, which can be regarded as an exfoliator, can help remove cuticle and extra oil on the face. It is especially effective on pores around the oily T-zone of nose and forehead.

Each cocoon should only be used once.

How to use silk cocoons?
1. Prepare a bowl of warm water in temperature 50̊ and soak the cocoon in the bowl of water until the cocoon becomes soft. It takes about 10 minutes.
2. Take one cocoon and fit it on the end of your index finger (if too small, cut slightly to widen).
3. Gently scrub the cocoon in a light circular motion over the oily T-zone of the nose and the forehead.
4. Clean your face with warm water to wash off exfoliated dead skin.
5. You are recommended to use it once a week.

There are a few factors to consider when choosing the right comforter for yourself or your family, but the most important one is the usual temperature in your bedroom. If your bedroom is not A/C’d then obviously this temperature could fluctuate with the season, so it’s best if you choose the season in which you would like to sleep in the silk comforter first. Unfortunately, there is no industry standard for name-weight-temperature correlation yet, so it could be difficult to tell if a winter comforter is actually for winter as it could be marketed to someone whose winter is a lot milder than your own. There is a general guideline, however: For a bedroom at 68F/20C, a queen size comforter weighing approximately 0.9-1kg/2lb should best suit your needs. With every 3C/6F degree decrease, add 0.3-0.5kg/0.6-0.9lb to the weight of the comforter. So if you are expecting to sleep in a bedroom with a temperature of 14C/57F in the fall/winter season, the comforter should weigh approximately 1.5-2kg/3-4lb. Of course, this is just a rough estimate and only used as a reference.

Our silk pillows use silk floss filling in the form of stacked thin sheets of tangled silk threads. The nature of the filling and the unusually strong silk fibers in the silk floss means that:

1. It is unlikely that the filling inside the pillow shell moves around and clumps together to give the pillow an uneven shape.

2. It is difficult for the silk threads in the filling to succumb to pressure and deform, allowing the pillow to regain its original shape once pressure is removed.

Of course, silk fibers are not immune to deformation and will eventually change in the pillow‘s shape. But this process is very slow and can take 5-10 years.

The prices for our pajamas do seem rather over-the-top who do not understand how pricing for silk works (as most don't). An upgrade of 3 momme seems to be quite insignificant, but in reality, it means vastly elevated cost, and here is why:
- Source fiber quality: The higher the momme weight, the higher the requirements for the silk fibers. As the chemical structure of silk remains largely the same, the requirements basically mean the fibers in 22 momme silk need to be more supple, more uniform, less broken, etc. than the ones used in the 19 momme version. These physically better-formed fibers are much rarer and thus significantly more expensive to start with.
- Thread density: Not only were the individual fibers of better quality, but the density of the threads in the 22 momme variety of silk is also significantly higher than that of the 19 momme. Our 22 momme silk boast of a thread count of 600 compared it with the 450 of our 19 momme silk and it's an astounding 33% increase. More threads = more expensive.
After taking into account the increased cost of raw materials, as well as increased labor cost due to more experienced workers being required to process higher quality silk, the profit margin of our new 22 momme products is, in fact, smaller than the old 19 momme line. If you look at other sites that sell 22 momme silk you would realize that our prices are in fact quite low for its quality.

Silk, as a natural product, has a unique odor which comes from sericin, the protein "glue" silkworms use to bind together the silk threads into their cocoons. The more refined silk is, the less sericin remains on the silk, but even the most refined silk still has approximately 10%-15% sericin in them. Some people mistake the smell for chemical additives, but you can rest assured that none of our silk products have come into contact with any harmful chemicals during any stage of their production. Sericin, on the other hand, has some great health benefits such as being anti-oxidant and UV-resistant.

In our experience, the odor is usually the strongest when you first unpack the silk from the delivery package since there is nowhere for the smell to dissipate to. Once unpacked, it usually only takes a short period of time before the smell becomes barely noticeable.

If you find the smell too strong to bear, you could try to hang our products in an area with good air circulation for a few days and wait for the smell to go before using them. Do NOT use strong cleaning agents such as bleach as it will totally undermine the natural properties of silk and shorten the lifespan of our products.

Even though our comforters come with a silk or cotton shell, there are numerous drawbacks to use them without proper duvet covers, for example, the shell will get dirty easily and yet you will not be able to wash the comforter with water since it will destroy the soft and fluffy feel of the silk floss filling inside, not to mention the disruption a bare comforter can bring to your overall bedroom theme.

Getting a good duvet cover will solve these problems easily, as silk duvet covers can be machine-washed with water, unlike comforters. A good duvet cover will also complement well with the rest of the room decor. Getting a silk duvet cover to go with the comforter is the best way for one to enjoy the full benefits of the comforter, as duvet covers made from other materials will partly undermine the breathability, the lightweight and hypoallergenic nature of the silk comforter.

Pillowcases on DISANGNISILK.com feature envelope closure pillowcase and zipper closure pillowcases
If you need to customize pillowcases, please submit a ticket on the top right “Online Help”, we will get back to you within 24 business hours generally. And if you are at the mobile version, please submit it at the bottom of the page.

The height of our silk pillows is approximately 9-10cm(3.5”) and 6-7cm(2.4“) when pressed upon. The pillows will gradually become more compressed over time due to constant pressure, but this process is very slow with our silk pillowcases and could take 5-10 years before you start to notice any serious change of shape. We have developed new Washable Cotton Covered Silk Lined Pillow and you have 2 height options to choose from, according to your demands: Soft-5“(13 cm), Firm-6”(16 cm).

Normally, cocoons of Mulberry silkworm are unraveled to make spindles of single-strand silk threads for later use. In the case of making silk comforters, however, this process is replaced with another in which the cocoons are stretched many different times using proper instruments and with hands to eventually form a thin, flat layer of tangled silk threads of the required dimensions. Tens or even hundreds of these layers are then stacked on top of each other until proper weight has been achieved, and the result is the silk floss filling in a silk comforter. The filling is then enclosed with a cotton or silk shell and tacked on the sides to the shell to prevent the filling from clumping up or moving around, and the result is our extremely light-weight and breathable silk comforter.

Since the silk floss filling is fitted to the comforter shell and not stuffed, we call our comforters “silk-fitted”.

We always evacuate the air in the pillows to keep dry and far away from the microorganism in shipment. When you receive a flat pillow, please do not worry. Just flutter it gently. Then put it in a cool well-ventilated place. Note: Avoid exposure to direct sunlight.

Unfortunately, because the silk flossing filling in our silk comforters are tacked to the shell, we would strongly advise against any attempts to remove the shell or wash it by yourself, as it could permanently damage the silk filling and the shell, and it would be impractical to put them back together and expect the comforter to work as well as before.

The best way to keep your silk comforter clean is to always cover it with a good duvet cover. Hang it up in the shade in a place with good air circulation every half a year would be enough to keep the comforter fresh and comfy. In the case that the comforter is dirtied by outside influences such as pets and younger kids and needs cleaning, we recommend you to send the entire comforter to a dry cleaner and have it dry cleaned.

Too hot to sleep in the summer? Too cold to sleep in winter? I believe all of us have been in such a dilemma. In order to sleep well, the temperature of your room and comforter is very important.

A research says that the most ideal sleeping environment commands 33±1℃ in temperature and 50±5%(RH)in humidity. So the judgment standard for a good comforter is to see if it can maintain a very stable temperature and will do a fine job of balancing humidity. Silk comforter has a good function of absorbing and liberating moisture, so it can make your sleeping environment stay at a more constant temperature than most comforters in other fabric.

<Advantage Of Silk Comforter>

1.Absorb the moisture quickly to adjust the temperature
It is said that we may sweat almost 200cc when sleeping. So, the breathability of a comforter is very important for a comfortable sleeping environment. silk fibroin peptide chain consists of lots of hydrophile groups, so the hygroscopicity of silk is 1.5 times better than that of cotton fiber. Silk can absorb and emit human body sweat quickly and liberate the moisture more quickly than other fiber. This explains why silk comforter help keeps human body temperature at a more constant temperature throughout the night.

2. Save the warm air to adjust the temperature

What is more, silk comforters are designed to allow air to flow more freely and thus regulate your body heat. The result is your body stays cool in summer and warm in winter.

Although silk comforter is a little expensive, it has so many benefits such as regulating temperature and its breathability. So buy yourself a silk comforter to have a restful sleep.

No. Unlike down or polyester duvets that require pockets to keep the filling evenly distributed over the entire duvet, our silk duvets employ silk floss filling which comes in the form of may thin sheets layered on top of each other. The silk floss filling is tacked to the shell with an approximately 8” in between each tack so that it cannot move around inside the shell or clump up together. Our duvets drape much better than down, feather and polyester comforter for exactly this reason.

Yes, but not to a degree that you will be able to notice. Duvet covers are not designed to keep heat, although an extra layer of silk will certainly help retain some extra heat inside. The purpose of duvet covers is two-fold: to protect the duvets it keeps inside itself from dust and other possible sources of pollution, as comforters are usually difficult, if not impossible, to wash normally; and to provide an aesthetically pleasing layer over the often plain and non-decorated comforters to match with the rest of the bedroom decor. Our silk duvet covers also provide protection against skin abrasions and help with thermal regulation, but in the end, you should not rely on duvet covers for warmth.

Many customers may get confused about our classification of the basics. What are washable pillows and duvets? And is there any difference between the silk-covered and cotton-covered basics?

Firstly, let's find the difference between silk-covered and cotton-covered basics. As the name implies, the shell of cotton-covered pillows and duvets is made of high-quality royal cotton while the shell of silk-covered pillows and duvets is made of 100% 19 momme natural long strand mulberry silk. Both cotton-covered basics and silk-covered basics can’t be washed by machine because they're filled with pure and natural long strand silk floss.

Washable basics are much different. They can be washed by washing machine as 1. They're covered by 100% natural and breathable cotton. 2. They have two layers of filling: silk liner and polyester inner filling.
And there are many boxes on the cotton shell of washable basics so that the filling can be fixed when washed by machine. Silk covered and cotton covered basics don't have such boxes outside.

If you still have other questions about our basics, you can chat with us online or submit a ticket on the top right “Online Help”, we will get back to you within 24 business hours generally. And if you are at the mobile version, please submit it at the bottom of the page.
